Position Description

We are seeking to find an attorney with at least six years of strong law firm, large corporation, or other sophisticated business organization experience to provide corporate governance and compliance support to the board of directors of Saudi Aramco and its committees. Based at company headquarters in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, this attorney will join the Law Organization’s Corporate Secretariat Practice Team and work closely with the company’s corporate secretary and general corporate and compliance attorneys in providing applicable governance and compliance support to Saudi Aramco’s board and its committees. 

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate, you will hold a Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school.  In addition to that, you should have:

A license admitted to practice and in good standing in the United States.

At least six years of experience with a strong law firm, large corporation, or other sophisticated business organization.

Experience providing support to a sophisticated board of directors and/or board committees. 

General corporate experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience providing concise, clear, support to internal clients.

Leadership and mentorship experience.

Strong general transactional and securities attorneys are encouraged to apply.

Energy industry (oil and gas, petrochemical, power, or oil field services), international or securities experience is a plus.

Public company experience also preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Advising on corporate law.

Filing obligations.

Director duties.

Board approvals. 

Director independence.

Director conflicts of interest.

Board and board committee self-assessments and shareholder matters.
