We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Application Management Team in the Technical Services Division of King Abdulaziz Center for world Culture Department. 

The Technical Services Division is responsible for building functional systems that improve customer experience. The Application Management Team is responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations.  

The Software Engineer’s primary role is to manage software development processes and evaluate current software architecture.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Develop and create scalable software platforms and applications, and efficient solutions that are unit tested, code reviewed, and checked regularly for continuous integration.

Assess existing systems, identify flaws and create solutions to improve service uptime and time-to-resolve through monitoring and automated remediation.

Develop plans and execute full software development life cycles (SDLC) for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations.

Develop, build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.

Troubleshoot, assess and identifying technical problems and develop software updates and ‘fixes’ issues.

Maintain the requirements of software developers to ensure development follows established processes and works as intended.

Demonstrate internal software requirement enhancement to establish requirements, organize testing, and communicate the deployment plan.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar from a recognized and approved program.  An advance degree is preferred.

You will have ten years’ experience in Java, C#, or other object-oriented programming languages at a professional and academic level.  This will include seven years’ experience in software development as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.

You will also have experience with complex integrated systems, CRM or ERP systems, knowledge of web server APIs and ESBs and be proficient with git and git workflows.
