We are seeking an Intelligent Field Engineer to work with Northern Area Production Engineering Department (NAPED). NAPED provides Production Engineering coverage for all Saudi Aramco Oil and Gas wells in Northern Area of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Intelligent Field Engineer will provide technical support for i-Field equipment’s in Northern Area Oil Operations onshore and offshore oil and gas fields. In addition, will support all business matters related to Intelligent Field Equipment such as Multiphase Flow Meters (MPFM), Single Phase Flow Meter (SPFM), Permeant Downhole Monitoring System (PDHMS), and Smart Well Completion (SWC) and intelligent fields’ infrastructure. Hence, the engineer should also have in-depth understanding of smart oil fields with emphasis upon project management, design review, operation and troubleshooting of intelligent field equipment.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Ensure the operability of Intelligent Field Equipment to the fullest potential and assure the availability and reliability of accurate and continuous oil fields production data.

Perform in-depth technical/engineering studies, evaluation and analysis and write guidelines and policies documents, initiate innovative proposals.

Evaluate and/or recommend new technologies aimed at improving well productivity, enhance and optimize testing and streamlining efficiency.

Specify design criteria and relevant operating parameters for development of new projects.

Develop, monitor or Support, the intelligent field advanced applications, software and workflows associated with intelligent infrastructure that are utilized to optimize production, prolong assets integrity and lifespan and proactively prevent challenges.

Support and witness field activities related to Intelligent field equipment.

Conduct seminars; prepare manuals, train engineers and production operating personnel. Represent Saudi Aramco in dealing with manufacturers, vendors and outside consultants.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. M.S. or PhD in engineering is preferred Professional Engineer license or registration is also desirable.

Should have a Minimum of 15 years’ experience in which 5 years in intelligent fields infrastructure, MPFMs, SPFMs, SWCs, PDHMS and surface well-testing operation.

Must demonstrate understanding and ability to communicate ideas clearly with specialists in operations, reservoir management as well as intelligent field infrastructure capabilities. Also, have in depth knowledge of MPFMs including, but not limited to, functionality, calibration, sizing, … etc.
