We are seeking a Field Compliance Coordinator to join Upstream Operational Compliance, under the Upstream Continuing Excellence.
The incumbent will be a seasoned professional with a broad knowledge in most significant areas of the safety and health field. The individual may work independently on major initiatives or projects, act as a senior team member on collaborative projects or will provide work direction for an assigned team.
They successful candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Safety & Health, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 12 years’ experience in industrial, process, or manufacturing operations, (including consulting with those fields), preferably with experience in oil and gas.
Experience including areas such as health & safety program development, qualitative and quantitative risk assessment, process safety management, process hazards analysis, incident investigation, the development and implementation of safe operations procedures and processes, and auditing and assessment.
Certifications in the health & safety field, such as CSP, CEP, MIOSH, etc.
Knowledge of international consensus standards and their application, especially within your specialty.
Extensive experience with Safety Management Systems (e.g. OHSAS 18001, ANSI Z10, etc.).
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Provide guidance and direction to senior management on planning, implementing and maintaining specific safety systems within upstream that contribute to compliance with corporate and business line expectations.
Develop, implement and manage analyses to identify gaps in HSE performance.
Develop new and monitor existing KPIs.
Advise executive management on proposed initiatives to address identified gaps.
Manage initiatives through the governance structure of the safety strategic plan.
Partner with operational management and serving as SME for contact with corporate HSE entities.
Train, develop and support the growth of HSE team members.
Provide investigation facilitation for major and/or high potential incidents.
Work with corporate teams in implementation of process safety initiatives.
