Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dur Hospitality Company SJSC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.




The Director of Operations at Marriott Hotels is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and aligning operations with our core values and standards of excellence. This position requires a dynamic leader who can collaborate effectively with department heads, manage operational budgets, and drive continuous improvement across all hotel services, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage departments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the hotel’s daily operations to ensure superior guest service and adherence to quality and safety standards. Work closely with department heads to facilitate smooth and efficient operations across all areas.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist the General Manager in developing and implementing the hotel’s strategic plan, operational goals, and objectives. Monitor performance against targets and make necessary adjustments to operations.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage operational budgets in collaboration with the finance department. Implement strategies to optimize financial performance and profitability while maintaining the highest service standards.
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop the operations team to achieve excellence in their respective areas. Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and exceptional hospitality.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards, addressing and resolving guest complaints efficiently, and enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with legal, regulatory, and Marriott’s internal policies and procedures. Foster a culture of safety and ensure all operations adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational improvements and innovative solutions to enhance service quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operational management experience in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • A strong background in Food & Beverage operations is required, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of F&B service standards, cost control, and guest satisfaction
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.
