The “Business Developer” role will be part of the regional GTM team and will be responsible for signing-up businesses across different verticals. He/She will also be responsible for driving revenue from new sign-ups and onboarding activities. Operating in a fast-moving and challenging environment, Amazon’s culture requires that you are self-motivated and target driven, able to work autonomously and take full control and responsibility of your charter.
The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Key job responsibilities
1.Understand products and services offered by Amazon Payment Services and be able to articulate its functions and benefits to potential customers.
2. Prospects potential clients using both online and offline mediums.
3. Create and formulate compelling sales pitch for businesses.
4. Keeps up to date with payment landscape in KSA.
5. Sign up and onboard new business efficiently.
6. Deliver consistently on the sales quota.
Prior Experience and skills:
•1-4 years of experience in commercial, ecommerce, online payment, Payment Service Provider or banking with top tier organization.
•Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business finance/Management/Marketing/MIS or E-commerce from an international accredited university (first class honors).
•Business development experience.
•Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly in Arabic and English.
•Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
•Fluency in English and Arabic is essential
•Background in payments/Fintech or Consumer Finance businesses and relevant experience in B2B2C businesses
•Experience working in a global, 24×7 support environment
•Owner mentality; willingness to roll up sleeves to meet goals
•Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
•Able to work in a diverse team
•Ability to identify, pursue and implement business opportunities with a focus on the customer, from both a strategic and operational perspective
•Previous experience in online payment or e-commerce landscape in with prior interactions with merchants and acquirer.
•Experience selling nascent (embryonic/start-up) products/services into new markets is desired.
•Experience in defining new processes is desirable.
