Overview

We are seeking an Artificial Lift Engineering Specialist to join the JRAK Engineering and SGNA Engineering divisions of Well Completion Operation & Production Engineering Department. The JRAK and SGNA Engineering Production Engineering divisions are responsible for maximizing the efficiency and output of Saudi Aramco unconventional assets by employing cutting-edge techniques and technologies to optimize production processes, enhance reservoir performance, and reduce operational cost.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Lead production optimization solutions for existing producing wells and future development areas.

Develop innovative and effective plunger lift and rod lift designs tailored to unconventional reservoir characteristics. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize artificial lift systems for various well conditions.

Oversee the implementation and day-to-day operation of plunger lift and rod lift systems. Monitor system performance, analyze data, and make real-time adjustments to ensure optimal production rates.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to artificial lift systems, utilizing in-depth knowledge and experience. Provide rapid response to emergencies that impact lift operations.

Analyze production data, well performance trends, and equipment performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased efficiency. Implement data-driven solutions to enhance lift system performance.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including reservoir engineers, production engineers, and field technicians, to align lift system strategies with reservoir and production goals.

Mentor and train junior team members on artificial lift best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and unconventional field challenges.

Daily production monitoring and well surveillance. 

Deep understanding on well loading issues, well deliquification practices and production best practices. 

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in petroleum or mechanical engineering from a recognized and approved program.

 

You will have at least Ten years of experience in production engineering and optimization, including at least five years in artificial lift systems design, implementation, and optimization.

 

You will also have;

Strong expertise in unconventional behaviors, well performance analysis and fluid dynamics.

Strong hands-on experience in unconventional fields, focusing on plunger lift and rod lift systems.

Proven track record of successful artificial lift system design, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Experience in unconventional resources or HPHT/tight gas & oil well with a good understanding of hydraulic fracturing and its impact on flowback/production practices.

Working knowledge in production assurance and optimization of natural flowing oil and gas wells.

Expertise in relevant software tools for lift system analysis and data interpretation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.

Knowledge of industry regulations, safety practices, and environmental standards.
